Even as I write this article, my mind wanders off to the aroma coming from the kitchen and I am tempted to pop in that tasty morsel of food before proceeding further. However, I'll stick to my New Year resolution, which is that of completing work first and then satisfying my gastronomic needs.

Visit any book shop and you would see that an entire section is devoted to cook books, which help you cook simply anything on this earth. The only pre requisite is that it should be edible. In fact, more men buy cook books than women, as they are the ones who need training in the cooking section. Or else, they simply buy the book and hand it over to their wives, who would then execute the task of fulfilling their husbands' preferences. Among the prominent cook books ruling the books shelves are the ones written by Jamie Oliver. In case you are not patient enough to read an entire book before cooking, you also have the online option with you. Most of the cuisines by the same author are available on the Internet and you can take full advantage of these online cook books, which are in much vogue these days.

Another interesting thing that's happening is that many celebrities are launching their cook books and these celebrity chef cook books are in huge demand. People want to know what their favourite Hollywood star binges on and loves cooking. They try to emulate their stars and cook the recipes that their screen icon loves. A recent survey conducted by a leading newspaper in Australia revealed that the most popular cook books are the French cook book followed closely by the Italian cook book and Edmunds cook book. They seem to fly off the book shelves, as majority of the people are going in for these books. And they are not expensive either. Hence, in case you don't know how to prepare your favourite dish, worry not. Books have yet again proved that they are man's best friends.
