Imagine slogging it out for the whole day at work, and when you return, you are greeted with a steaming cup of coffee and crispy crunchy cookies waiting to melt in your mouth. Nothing like it, but that still remains a distant dream and its high time we return to reality.

The bottom line is: we are all crazy about good food and no matter, to which country the cuisine belongs to, in case it suits our taste, we are game for it. Majority of the people want to experiment with new dishes and new cuisines, as the curiosity factor is very high. This is especially true in case of Indian and Italian cuisines. In Australia, Indian cook books are a major hot seller, since the people out here have heard a lot of lovely things about the cuisine and culture of India, but haven't yet tried it out. People are aware that the cooking recipes mentioned in these books are high on spices and oil, but they still want to experiment with the food. So high is the curiosity level, that they are willing to forget the extra pounds that they put on due to consumption of that extra cube of cheese that they consume.
In case you are interested in Korean recipes, Laotian recipes, Cambodian recipes or for that matter, Malaysian recipes, you can head for any of the bookstores in your area and you are sure to find an entire section which is devoted to cook books from all across the globe. In case, you do not have the time to pour over books, Internet would be a better option. One of the widely searched items on the search engines now days is Thai and Italian recipes, followed closely by Singaporean and Sri Lankan recipes. Our recommendation is that you try out Filipino recipes and also Vietnamese recipes, which have a distinct taste of their own. There is minimal spice usage, but the taste is simply heavenly. So all you foodies out there, do not waste time thinking about calories and cholesterol. Simply enjoy the food!
